New Helena Hawthorn Series Covers

New Book Covers

I would like to say big thanks to my friend Nancy Zee, at Cristal Designs for the new, wonderful book covers for the Helena Hawthorn Series.

You can find her design Facebook group here. She is very affordable and does fantastic work.

I also made a Helena Hawthorn Series HD wallpaper that can be downloaded in the WALLPAPER tab on my website for anyone who is interested.

Everyday updates:

It has been a while since I’ve posted anything on my blog. I am slowly making progress on completing The Cursed Princess (Hellion Empire #1) on Radish. Since it is my first fantasy, I am having to take the time and try to remember a lot of information. I’ve had to take quite a few breaks from writing. Life tends to get pretty busy with work, childcare, medical appointments, and house-hunting. So far, the novel is almost at 120,000 words, which is huge compared to my other works that typically end around 60,000-80,000 words.

We finally found a house and secured a mortgage for it. It needs a lot of refurbishments and repairs, but with the speed with which house prices are growing in Ireland, there is no other choice. For the time being, we are simply happy that we are at the end of the legal road to getting a property we can call our own.

My second pregnancy is going well. I am almost at the end of my second trimester, so it’s all downhill from here 😛 As I’ve mentioned above, there will be only an increase in medical appointments in the coming months and up to birth, which will put strain on the amount of time I can allocate to writing. I’ve been feeling super tired lately, which is why naps with my toddler are the best part of the day. Thankfully, he tends to sleep for 2.5-3.5 hours in the afternoon.

I hope to have The Cursed Princess finished by the end of September and release the novel wide before the end of the year. Beyond that, my writing goals for other works/series are currently on hold.

That’s it for updates. Hopefully, everyone is having a good summer and plenty of rest.

Lots of love,

May
